Casper Float
The float is the CSPR that AgentOps signs from. Until it is funded and budgeted, every authorization request is a DENY — by design.
Deposit
Open Casper Float in the console and deposit CSPR into the org treasury. The page shows the deposit target, current balance, and how much of it is already committed to agent budgets versus unassigned.
Assign agent budgets
Deposited CSPR sits unassigned until you allocate it. Give each agent a budget out of the float — that is the pool its spend cap draws against. An agent with no budget can be created and connected, but it cannot get an ALLOW.
- Budgets are claims on one shared float, not separate wallets.
- Assigned budgets across agents cannot exceed the float.
- You can raise or lower an agent’s budget at any time; it takes effect immediately.
Float vs. policy — they are different controls
The float answers “is there money?”. The guard policy answers “is this allowed?”. Both must pass. A well-funded agent with a 10 CSPR per-action max still gets denied on an 11 CSPR payment, and a generous policy on an empty budget still gets denied.
Networks
Float is scoped per network. Testnet float and mainnet float are separate balances; the console network toggle switches which one you are looking at. Fund testnet first and prove the flow there.
